Putting Paperwork Before Peoplework

"Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself..." Jesus in Matthew 22:39

In his excellent book on the subject, author Hans Kinzel tells us that there are two kinds of leaders: those who put people before paperwork, and those who put paperwork before people. “...the men of Issachar...understood the times and knew what Israel ought to do.” 1 Chronicles 12: 32

An amazing transformation has taken place in American culture as we move into the 21st century. The changes are so profound that they influence virtually every area of life and thought. Some of the more obvious shifts include:

- An openness to Jesus Christ but a closed-ness to Christians and to the Church - A repugnance to any philosophy or religious position that presents itself as the only way to God - A “no” to religion but a “yes” to spirituality - A desire to experience the supernatural, not just hear about it - Skepticism toward religious structures, institutions and authority hierarchies - A “down with organizations/up with community” mindset
